After all the bad storms, we had a beautiful day yesterday. A bit more windy than usual.
I love to go outside as the sun is setting and see all the shadow effects. This is a photo before the corn was taken in across the road. Our yard today looks as if it's been raked, no leaves , just branches.
We will do some winter trimming in the flowerbeds. Pick the twigs and branches up. We need to refill the birdbaths and feeders. Our birds have been sparse lately, we think there may be a hawk near by. Enjoy today and remember those in need of prayers. xo
oh those shots are just LOVELY! i can almost smell autumn in them!

Beautiful shots, Susie. I love all the sunlight reflecting on the buildings. Such devastation in Indiana from the storms. It's hard to imagine.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures, Susie. I love late afternoon shots like that, too, Glad the worst of the storms missed you- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty sunbeams in your photos. I am keeping everyone in my prayers. I cried when I watched the news last night...it breaks my heart. Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty shots, Susie. I'm glad the storms have passed through, too. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! I love sunrise and sunset and all the shadows that dance around for just a tiny bit. Praying for all those that were in the path of those storms Sunday. Most are still digging out around us. Its just awful, 5 died, but God spared more than he took and blessed so many that weren't touched by it.
ReplyDeleteSo many people affected by the storms! I still send along my prayers for them.
ReplyDeleteYou have some really nice photographs showing the shadows at sunset.
xo Nellie
I'm glad you came through the storms safely and hope the power is back across the area. Thanks for sharing the rainbow in your previous post.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures Susie..Glad you are OK..
ReplyDeleteSusie..I loved your pictures. They are beautiful I am NOT a photographer but I certainly wish I knew a bit more about it than I do. I guess I could read up on it but I am just too lazy! :)
ReplyDeletePRETTY yard.
I have a bird feeder out front by our porch. I like to sit at the window..or on the porch and watch the birds. One day as I looked out the window..there was this BIG golden Hawk sitting on the back of one of our wicker chairs. He just looked at me through the window..I looked back. An hour later he was still there...very watchful. Not a bird to be seen and we have flocks of them that come here to eat and drink from the running fountain.
Haven't seen him lately. but you are probably right. There could be a Hawk in the area. Smart birdies! :)
simply beautiful. I love the sunsets this time of year, they are so brilliantly lit, rainbows of colours.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are gorgeous. I love the sun...period! Especially after the last few days. Things are improving for us, but the devastation in town....oh my. I'll post pics later.
