A picture of the crab apples on our flowering tree. This is winter bird food, sometimes. I see birds eat them during winter.
The mums are overflowing their flowerbed. Now you can see what I meant about them needing to be thinned out somewhat.
Our honeysuckle is growing again , after a very slow start in Spring. There were some blooms on it this year, but not near as many as last summer. The hummingbirds like to visit it.
Today is the my doctor appointment. I will just be glad to go and be done with it. I am going to ask about my knee hurting , my blood thinners ,and my tummy med. Then hopefully I will be given good advice. LOL
Wishing all a good day. XO
I hope your appointment goes well my friend. And that you get some good answers and advice. Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteDr. took me off warfarin...saying it isn't as new and up to date as some other blood thinners. I go back for a pro-time on Friday to see if I even need it. She gave me a new script for my reflux.....I had been there 2 1/2 hours and didn't really get onto my knee...wore out from sitting so long. Too few drs. and too many sick people. LOL. xoxo,Susie
Deletebeautiful photos, best of luck at the doctor,
ReplyDeleteThank you Laurie. I did alright I guess. I go back for a pro-time on Friday...to see if I need the blood thinner...and she gave me a new script for my reflux...xoxo,Susie
DeleteHoping you receive the answers you need, Susie. Lovely flowers! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, Thank you. I did get some new meds...getting rid of the old. I asked if there would ever be a day I would not be taking meds...she almost laughed. Saying as we age we need more help....I am doomed.LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI haven't seen a crab apple tree since I was a kid. You certainly have a colorful home!
ReplyDeleteI only have seen a humming bird once when I was visiting a friend in southern Cal. By the time I fetched my camera it was gone. They certainly are quick.
Boston Boy, They buzz by so fast at times, I think they are bees. LOL. These crab apples are the size of a marble...only ornamental. But birds eat them in winter. It makes me think of someone having to eat Ramon noodles. LOL....scrapping the barrel. I saw where that hurricane was maybe going to make waves along the East coast.. Be careful. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI hope your doctor's appointment goes well and you get wise and accurate answers to your questions. Your flowers are beautiful. We don't have mums that are hardy to our area. And they're so expensive in the stores!
ReplyDeleteYou can get a nice mum in a gallon container for 7 dollars around here. I went to the drs. was there 2 1/2 hours...got new meds for the same problems. LOL. go for a pro-time on Friday to see if I need the blood thinners. xoxo,Susie
DeleteChrysanthemums aren't blooming here yet. Everyone is selling them though. The hummingbirds are still around. They should be heading south soon. Hope you're having a perfect day.
ReplyDeleteMissy., We are suppose to stop feeding the hummers around here in early Oct. I am home now and relaxing. xoxo,Susie
Deletebest of luck with the doc. i hope you get off the meds. i hate taking any meds but do take supplements and stuff. i used to have to take a whole pile of pills but no more!

Hi Susie,
ReplyDeleteWell how did the Dr. appt. go? I take one pill and I'd like to get off of it, but it regulates my irregular heartbeat! Maybe if I'd stop the caffeine like they say.....I do try.
This weather has been something. Rain then sun and yes everything is growing like crazy. I love the sweet scent of honeysuckle. I like your pink variety. Does it give off starts? Where did you get it? It doesn't look like the wild creamy/yellow kind that you usually find around here. Take care,
Cindy Bee
Hope all things went well for you today at the doctor office visit...That honeysuckle photo was so "real" I'd swear I could smell the fragrance, at it was wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, hope all went well with the doctor visit. I find myself going more often and taking more meds as I get older. I wish I could get off some of them, I think they make me tired! I seem to have zero energy. You have some pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful things in your yard. I have such fond memories of honeysuckles, being a kid. I don't recall seeing pink ones though. Hope all is well healthwise.
ReplyDeleteI hope your appointment went well Susie. I love your mums. They really brighten up a place in late summer and fall. Hope you have a nice weekend. hugs and much Love, xo

ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos, Susie. Hope it went well today at the dr. My mammogram is tomorrow a.m.
ReplyDeleteHave a good night.
So, that's what the hummingbirds love - the honeysuckle! I will have to grow a bush and look for this delightful bird. I hope you feel better with your health, Susie, and I hope you get the care that you need.
ReplyDeleteTake care, my sweet friend.
love,
~Sheri
