Who Knew ????

  Do you remember these items I picked up at my sister's yard sale??  They are cast iron.
  I went to the shop yesterday, and cleaned them up. I used a file and wire brush, to get the rust off.
  I saw this cute little owl in the ads of Romantic Home magazine. As soon as I saw this I knew I was going to paint the owl I bought.
 So here is the finished painting of the owl and key. I painted them  with some paint I had here for projects.  I am thinking of nailing  them  to a back board of some kind. Then the little junk mail box that I bought early in the spring. I will put it on the porch. When I finish that, I will post another photo.
  Weather lady saying right now....maybe a gloomy day with showers here and there. So I'll be going to the food store. Hope you are having sunshine. :)  Have fun today. XO

      Nellie, I thought about putting the owl on a tree , as is. Then when I saw the one in the magazine, I had other ideas. You know how we change our minds. LOL .. Still cloudy, but the rain has stopped for now. hope your day is going well. oxoxo,Susie

    Your owl looks just like the one in the magazine, how cool. You did a great job painting it. I can't wait to see what it looks like on your front porch. I just love the rain. I can't believe you're getting showers in the summer months. So refreshing. It's so hot here lately, that I wish we would get some sprinkles now and then.

      Sheri, I have a goose cutout near the front door...I think it's time for him to fly away and I'll put the owl , key and junk mail box there. :):) I just checked the rian gauge, we have had 1/4 inch of rain this morning. It's still sprinkling. We truly needed it. xoxo,Susie

      You are so welcome Sheri. Marriage isn't always easy, but we have to make it work. Have to friend first don't you think? Your mate should always be your life time best friend.     That was a great idea. Those are SO cute! We were expecting a chance of showers today and were deluged with about 2" of rain! It was just crazy.

    Well for the most part I have no complaints about the weather we've had this summer. Today was just lovely.
    Very nice job with the owl. I have to stay away from yard sales. The last one I went to, about three years ago, I purchased a lava lamp. Talk about being stuck ion the '60s and '70s!

      Boston Boy, My sister's son had one of the lava lamps you mentioned. Plus he had some kind of black ball shaped thing that had colored lights in it ..Not a disco ball but very "Brady Bunch " looking. LOL. xoxo,Susie
