After The Rains...

This is the Sunday sunset. Fiery and pretty. It had rained like a monsoon just before this.
Then we had another evening rain yesterday.  Once the storm moved on we had some wonderful clouds. This one had a strange dome. The top of this cloud looked like a smoke ring was  sitting on top.
More billowy clouds with the sun reflecting at the top. Now I think we have had enough rain. But honestly we may have a little rain each day till Friday. The sun is shining right now and it's 9 am.
Our lawns are growing fast from the rain and very green. I can see that the bean and corn fields are starting to turn yellow .  This month is about over. What is it, about 26 days till Autumn ? I love the colors of Autumn and the cooler temperatures. ....but I know what follows. Winter !! The older  I get the less I like it. I know some people truly love the snow and cold. I don't mind shoveling a little snow and I love the cold on my face. But that is about all. LOL.
I want to finish up some projects I have started , just seems I have no desire to do much this week.
Hope all of you are more on the ball than I am. :):)  Let's have fun if we can. XO

    1. Bee, I know you hate being sick...I am praying for you to get well. I just get kind of scared when I get sick...I feel like I am out of control and when it comes to taking care of myself...I want to be fully in control. LOL. xoxo,Susie

    1. Laurie, You know some times our cameras just can't capture the beauty as we see it. I wish my grandson had been here...he would know exactly why those clouds were like that. :) xoxo,Susie

  3. Your line about the lawns growing fast and being green just kills me. We aren't supposed to be watering with our drought so my garden is turning brown.

    1. Carol, I would love to send this rain your way. I know there are many places in dire need of some rain. We have had plenty in the past week. They are saying more of that on/off kind till Friday. Today it rained north of us but not here yet. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. We've really had a nice summer this year. Our grass is still so very green. I love fall, too, but except for this week which has been a scorcher, I'm really enjoying this summer. I keep hearing that we'll have a very frigid winter. Hope not!

Have a nice week and don't worry about the projects, they'll always be there waiting for you! :)

    1. I think it's the cloudy days and the heat....I need sweet sunshine :):) No the basement has been bone dry. But you know once it floods....you just can't relax if it rains anywhere over 4 inches at once. The town northeast of here got 11 inches in one day and flooded so many homes. I hate that. Kimberly , you and I need more summertime to get our fun in. LOL. xoxo,Susie

  10. Love your sunset shot. So beautiful. I'm also a cloud person. I take pictures of interesting clouds all the time.

I love Autumn, but I'm with you on Winter. I'd be happy if it lasted one week and then was gone.

    1. Kathy,
that's exactly how I feel about winter. When we were kids we never realized how much stress winter was for our parents.. higher heat bills, getting the car started and keeping it on the road, digging out. Now that I am older I see all the bad parts of winter...even with all the snow there's still draught areas. Let's you and I pray for a mild winter. LOL. xoxo,Susie

  11. Your sunset picture is wonderful as are your cloud pictures. Our summer has been fantastic. Today is the first 90 degree day in a while.
I can't wait for the fall, vacation aside, for all the color. Maybe a trip out west, of Massachusetts that is, It's quite rural and lovely.
