Going To The Library.....

Saturday  I walked past the farmers' market , on my way to the library.
I did not go into the area, but I could see it was mostly corn . The bakers were at their normal spot on the corner. They make breads, rolls, pies, and carmel corn.
Here's the library.... don't you love that smell. New and old books. I asked about some  watercolor classes, that were being offered.  So this afternoon will be my first class.  The classes are the 1st Thursday of every month.  I thought it would be a way for me to get back to painting. I'll show all of you what I paint. :):)
This morning is a calm one, with few clouds. May have rain starting this evening. Enjoy your day. XO

  2. What a cool thing for your library to offer. Yes, it's not just books anymore.

I love the smell of books too. Sometimes when I get a shipment of new books at work I just have to stop and smell them.

    Have a great day, Susie!

    1. Kathy, Oh I should have remembered, you are a librarian. You get to smell books all the time. Does your library have book sales?? Ours has some shelves in the lobbies with a box for money and you pay for any books, paperback novels, and tapes. It's kind of a nice way to have a book for 50 cents. The hard covers and tapes are a dollar. The paperbacks are some times a dime. Great deals. xoxo,Susie

    2. I love libraries and the extra things they offer, especially for the kids. I haven't been to a market this year, have enough here at home, but I would sure love some corn. Paint a picture for your blog!

  9. How exciting to begin something new! I would have been very tempted to go into the Farmer's Market area, though. Love that fresh corn, and we didn't plant any this season. xo Nellie

  10. I didn't know that you painted. I can't wait to see what you paint. Our library has a great children's section. And the library is free, even better, right.

    1. Hi Debby, Our library for checking out books, dvd, tapes and such is free....but there's late fees if not returned on the due dates. The priced items are donated or out dated books, they are in the lobby for anyone to buy. I painted till I moved here...then I slowly stopped. I want to get back to painting to do something that I really like. I needed more lessons, as I was pretty much self taught. xoxo,Susie

  12. My dad painted in oils. I have 6 hanging in my home. I used to cartoon a bit but I have never painted. I don't think I could ever do it.
You must show us samples of your work in the future.

    1. Boston Boy, You should try painting ...I bet you would be good at it. You must be artistic, cause you play music too. That is special that you have some art work from your dad. There were many talented people in my family but I have nothing of theirs. My daughters are very good at making crafts and Kathy does sewing very well. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
