While watering the plants this morning, I could hear the neighbor's rooster. They live a 1/2 mile away, but it's clear. This is my only chicken outside:):) I would love to have some chickens....but let's face it, I am a city person. I don't know a darn thing about raising chickens :):) So that will remain a dream. They don't smell so good anyways when they are wet ....LOL I 'll just sit out front and enjoy the neighbor's rooster crowing.
Stay cool today good people.xo
I haven't heard a rooster crow for years . When I was a kid my granmother raised chickens and we had a rooster of course. Fried Chicken was much better back in the day
ReplyDeleteWe have roosters, chickens, and baby chicks that roam our yard at the old house. And we live in the city limits, two blocks from main street. I tell everybody the chickens are not ours they just like our back yard. The roosters are mean and all of the big ones fly.
ReplyDeleteWe can hear someone's rooster, too! I enjoy it when I'm working outdoors. Hope you have a nice afternoon.
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while I have an urge to get chickens and then the reality of feeding them and caring for them brings me back. We can't all be Martha Stewart.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd like to have chickens...I have a few ceramic roosters, that's about it!
