Yesterday after I posted "no rain" , in the afternoon , a storm came through. We had about 2 inches of rain. It got scary for a while, high winds and hail. Thankfully, no damage here. Then at 4:00 this morning another storm brought us 1/4 inch of rain. I know the farmers are doing a happy dance today. I am pretty happy myself. Maybe the temperature won't be as high as the past two days. We hit 103 and 102 , here in central Indiana. xo
I am sure the rain was most welcome after temperatures that high. I love the smell in the air when it has rained following a dry spell.
ReplyDeletehappy for ya'll .. we sure need some rain and soon.. I water , which keeps things alive, but theres nothing as good as rain water.

We are in desperate need of some rain! My husband waters the garden, or it would be lost for this season. We have set record high temperatures for the past two days, and today's prediction is for the same.

ReplyDeleteI like seeing the rain puddles! We were at 110 today and no rain for weeks.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that rain was a blessing..and hopefully it cooled down some. We had some warmer temperatures today..so am sure it will be heading your way soon!

I hope you get cooler weather and not too much humidity. Stay dry.
ReplyDeleteSusie, I love how everything looks so fresh and renewed after a rain storm. We sure could use rain here. We are having terribly fires. I have never seen it so bad before. We have temps in the 90's and the winds have not been good. Alot of people have lost their homes. I feel so sorry for them. I can not even imagine.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
