This is one of our busiest feeders. It's under the pine trees. Everything eats on it. the doves will eat under it, so nothing goes to waste.
This is a hummingbird feeder hanging near the honeysuckle vine. The hummingbirds haven't been eating here as much as last year. I have seen some goldfinches in the honeysuckle. Maybe they spook the hummingbirds.
There's a little water pond near the shop also. All the birds drink from it. We have 3 birdbaths also. I have been trying to get pictures of our bluebirds. I know they have little ones, because the parents are flying to and from their house so much. Hopefully one day, I'll have my camera at the right time.
It's getting ready to rain here. The forecast is for up to 3 inches of rain. I sure hope not. Take care everyone.
Watching the birds at the feeders is one of my favorite activities. I sure hope you don't get all of that rain :(
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wet week-end is on the way for you, Susie.
ReplyDeleteWe have no bird feeders because of the pigeons and crows; however, the mockingbirds, cardinals, and robins all think our fruit trees and bushes exist specifically for them.:-) They do not seem to be very congenial with one another, however, as we see them squawking and chasing one another often.:-) Not wanting to share, most likely.:-)
Have a good Friday.
xo Nellie
We love having feeders out and watching the birds, too! Enjoy your day sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteLovley...... thank you for sharing pics of around your beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty everything looks, Susie. We don't have any hummers this year- and not many last year either. I love your water feature. Everything looks lush and lovely- xo Diana

I could stand at the kitchen window for hours watching the birds come to one of our larger feeders. They all have such distinct personalities but Mr. Cardinal seems to be the bossiest! -- Jan
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous yard. Hope you get a chance to photograph the blue birds. I hope you won't get too much rain and that you have a safe and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteAren't humming birds fun? I love to watch them in the yard and always hope the dog doesn't scare them away. Stay dry. I can't believe you are expecting three inches of rain this late in the season.
ReplyDeleteWe would LOVE to have hummingbirds and have put out feeders but no takers!
ReplyDeleteLots of other birds so I can't complain. Bird watching is a fascinating hobby!!
