Slow Day.....

This is the evening view from our dining room window. I love the lasting colors in the sky. I've just posted some pictures ,because I know we all like to see what others see around their homes.
The cornfield across the road. One field down got crop dusted yesterday, and I just could not get a decent shot of the plane. I tell ted I would love to be able to fly that plane. Yes, he thinks I am crazy.
This is getting pretty close to this big bubble bee. He sure was busy on the cone flowers. I love these flowers and need to transplant some. I need to put some new things among the lilies, because when they die out there is nothing pretty on the west side of the house.
Here are some of my mums. I am thinking it's kind of early for them. More have been blooming in the past three days. I hope they last through fall, because I like having flowers as long as I can. Without flowers it seems that winter would be near, and I sure am not into that yet. Hope all of you are doing well. xoxo

  3. Lovely views around your home. The cone flowers and the mums are so pretty. When I had mums, I would dead head the spent blooms and they would just keep re-blooming right up until frost.

  4. You have some nice views where you are, Susie. Sometimes our mums bloom in the summer, but I don't remember if they bloom again in the fall. xo Nellie

  7. I love seeing outside of other people's windows. Thanks for the great views from yours. I have had mums bloom in the summer. But mine have gone through the fall as well. My yard guy pulled up all my mums thinking they were weeds. *Sigh* I guess I'll be buying more this year.

  8. Beautiful! I need to plant more cone flowers too. I wish they were as prolific as the rudbekia. Those things have taken over. My cone flowers become more scarce. :-( The mums must be hardy to your area, right? I can't get a mum to survive our zone 3 winters. Your mum looks gorgeous. Thanks for showing us the view from your place. And thanks for stopping in this morning.
