We have this flowering crabapple tree. I love it. I also like to see the little "apples" on it once the leaves fall off. I wish I had more of these trees. Maybe I'll plant another next Spring.
The marigolds are showing off their autumn color. They are pretty but do not smell sweet, at all.
Yesterday, we had more rain. Again this morning a bit of rain. So far 2 inches of rain has fell since Saturday.
This is our sunset last evening. I love sunsets and sunrises. Now Ted is mowing. He put it off for 4 days .LOL...now the lawn is very much in need of mowing. Hope all of you are safe. I saw the bad weather of tornadoes and snow storms. Severe storm warnings from D.C. to New York today. Be safe. xo
Such beautiful pictures, Susie. I love sunrises and sunsets too. We got a bit of rain this morning, but now the sun is out and shining. It's still in the high 70s but I think our 80 degree weather is gone until next summer.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever made crabapple jelly Susie? Or can you do that with the apples from your tree. The sunset is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWe got rain but not that much! Mower guy is coming here on Friday. It needs it this time. Missed 3 weeks of not having it done. Its all green again, though. Love your little crabapple. At the clinic yesterday, the center of the parking places is lined with them and they were all in their pretty pinkish red color and looked just so cute. My father in law cut his down many years ago. It was over 20 foot high and made such a mess for him at the back door. ;(
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I love your little crabapples. Can you eat them?
ReplyDeleteI love those flowering crabapple trees, too.
ReplyDeleteWe had some rain overnight, and today the temperatures are more like fall.
xo Nellie
Such pretty photos, Susie! Love the crabapples. I think our rain went your way...I admit I am loving these cool temps...makes me want to bake and cook...
ReplyDeleteWe got a much needed shower this afternoon. It will be nice when it cools off some, too. Enjoy your week my friend!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos, Susie. We had rain last night and today was so crisp and clear.
ReplyDeleteHumid here, even with rain. We've had tornado warnings, but luckily no tornado. Did a number of errands and enjoying blog visits. Have a good evening!
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, We were in Florida the last several days while it was raining here. We got in really late due to delays in Atlanta from the tropical storms. Today my husband mowed the lawn and it was so high and wet. We had crabapples trees in our yard when growing up. I love your sunset picture. This is a very random comment but I mean well - didn't get much sleep last night. :)
ReplyDeleteohhh a pretty yellow sky, nice! we also had a crabapple tree when we lived in maryland. i actually liked eating them. tart but i liked them anyway.

What a great looking sky, Susie. I love crab apple trees and we planted 6 of them about 4 years ago- 3 on each side of our driveway as you come in. I love them- xo Diana
