How about old ladies that wear glasses?? I have many pairs of glasses. Some are prescription and some are just reading glasses. It was time for my yearly eye exam today. My vision hasn't changed since last year.....but the Dr. dilated my eyes. Bummer, I had plans of other things to do today. I just drove straight home from the Dr"s. office. I did order another pair of glasses. They are not the transitional kind, but an actual pair of sunglasses, with my prescription. Oh and the bifocal too. I miss my good vision. I miss my good ankles more. LOL I have to be able to see, because I love reading all of your blogs.
Cooler temps here today but oh so pretty out. Hope you are having a wonderful day. xo
I have reading glasses and I understand missing perfect vision. I can see why you would miss good ankles. I miss a good neck and back. I miss my 20s! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
I always go to one of those buy on get one free places and the free ones I get are sun glasses. I have big 1950's looking purple sunglasses. Reading is harder for me too:} I cannot thread needles anymore.
ReplyDeleteI wear reading glasses too and got some prescription sunglasses when we moved to Florida. I thought they would be great for sitting outside...or the beach or pool. They really have been nice to have. Enjoy your afternoon! It's pretty here, too!
ReplyDeletehave you been in my drawers! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just cleaned out a drawer and found 3 pairs!
I wear Reading glasses and I have two prescrption ones...one in my bag and one around the house. I'm thinking of getting a third caz I need them, otherwise I can't read and hate when I forget them!!! Thanks for your sweet and kind visit. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteFABBY
I got new glasses last year - was amazed that the "new" style looks like what my grandpa wore!
ReplyDeleteI know what you jean about glasses! I have tri-focals and I hate trying to see at different angles! 😟 We cleaned out a drawer last month & boy did we have a lot of old ones! I want to donate them to a Lions Club...where they reuse them.
ReplyDeleteHow are your eyes tonight? Sometimes it lasts a long time (especially if you have blue eyes!)
Blessings,
Gert
I hope you are having a good Tuesday evening, Susie. I tried to comment earlier, but connecting continues to be a problem for me, for some odd reason.
ReplyDeleteI wear bifocals, and have for several years. It is a blessing to be able to see.
xo Nellie
Oh...I need a new exam but those darn glasses are SO expensive! I have bi focal contact lenses so I don't have the thousands of reading glasses everywhere. I haven't switched my glasses over to bi focals yet so those are constantly on and off to see something close.
ReplyDeleteMy bad day was the dentist. Pre-peridontal disease. No it's not good enough to brush twice a day and floss once, you need to brush three times a day and floss twice. I had the "simple" cleaning today and I'm in agony. They are going to do the "deep" cleaning in 4 parts so I assume that I'll be hitting the pain pills and whiskey after that!
XO,
Jane
i buy readers by the dozen. they are everywhere! then i can't find a pair, go figure! but that's all i wear. i also have sunglass bifocal readers for the pool. non prescription ones. i like the joy mangano ones on hsn.

Hi Susie! Yep, I'm there with you. I wear contacts but my vision is terrible - I'm legally blind if not in contacts or glasses. But I have to have my little cheaters all over the house so I can read. It's not fun getting old! Thanks for popping in to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Yes, it's hard getting older and having your vision get worse, isn't it? I used to have perfect vision until I reached 20. Then it went downhill from there. My doctor doesn't dilate my eyes anymore. He takes a photo (special kind) that shows the inside of the eye better than dialation. You might ask your doctor about that next time. It's a nice alternative.
ReplyDeleteI had reading glasses all over the house, in every room, then I got mono-vision contacts and I love them! One eye sees far away and one eye sees close up. I know, sounds weird, and it took a bit of getting used to, but now I love it. No messing with glasses.
ReplyDeleteI hear you about your ankles! I have plantar fasciitis and it hurts like the dickens. And I spelled that wrong, but you get the idea.
