Snow....

 I looked out at 4:30 this morning and the ground was covered. Part of the porch. It's 7:50 in these photos. So the ground is still warm enough to melt the snow. In this shot , you can see lavender and the lilies.
This is the porch with leaves from the trees. I can sweep it every hour at this time of year. We have a nice fire going in the fireplace. Feels very good. May have to turn the furnace on with it being this cold. I have truly enjoying not having the AC or heat turned on. Hope all of you are warm and have a great day.  xo

    Good Morning Susie. Yep I think the real fall is finally arrived to stay. Ughhhhh the thought of snow. I guess summer is gone for awhile.

    Isn't this early for snow for you? We have had our heat on for several days as the low temperatures have been below 40. Our long range forecast says a low of 28 degrees on Saturday morning, and there is a chance of snow in the mountains tonight. xo Nellie

    The snow missed us but we got the cold rain all day yesterday with the the temp hovering around 40 all day.

    That just seems amazing! Hope you can snip that lavender off and dry it. It's 80 degrees here today so it will be awhile before we see the cold this far South. Hope the sun came out and warmed you today! Hugs!

    The snow, how wonderful! I bet you are loving the fireplace right now. Here, we are in full Autumn and it is cooler in the mornings and nights, but sometimes gets warmer during the day. I still use my air conditioner some days. I can't wait for the cooler months to come. Stay warm, my friend.

    First fire in the fireplace! Nice! And a little snow. We don't see it that early here ever but when our first son was born on Nov. 2 many decades ago I woke up in the hospital to a record breaking 7".
