What A Beautiful Day....
This is the cupola that Ted made this winter and put up in March. We had bought the weather vane a couple years ago. A man was selling the weather vanes, at the covered bridge festival in Parke County. He had a huge assortment of things to choose from. If I lived near the water I would have chosen a ship or whale. So I asked Ted , which one he liked, of all the choices. He said , "Oh I like the golfer." Are you kidding me !!!! Then I rephrased my question. Which one of these "roosters or horses" do you like? LOL That is how we ended up with the trotting horse.
That gizmo to the right of the cupola, is Ted's hill-billy antenna. Now folks this thing works. You get on line and look for directions to make it. It is called a digital antenna. It picks up about 30 stations. Ted watches some woodworking shows while in the shop.
Hope your day is sunny and bright. xo

I love the pretty weather vane and what a beautiful blue sky! That's interesting about the antenna. Enjoy your warmer weather!ReplyDelete
Ted painted the antenna the same shade of brown as the roof...so it kind of blends in. xoxo,SusieDelete
It sounds like spring is finally on the way for you, Susie! Enjoy the day! That's news to me about that digital antenna! xo NellieReplyDelete
Nellie, I am loving this wonderful weather. Hope you are having some sunshine, xoxo,SusieDelete

My springy weather is about 60ty too loving it (:)
So glad you are having nice weather also.xo,SusieDelete
Love the weather vane and the cupola. Interesting about the antennae. Cable bills are ridiculous. May have to look into that. Enjoy the sunshine. It's sunny here today. Snowed 3 inches Saturday evening.ReplyDelete
Debby, I know what you mean about cable....so much money and terrible TV shows.xo,SusieDelete
Beautiful here too Susie! Finally!! Very nice weather vane and cupola!ReplyDelete

I'm so glad to hear that the days are getting warmer in your area, Susie. The weather vane is so cool. I've never seen one like that before.ReplyDelete
Can you believe our weather is changing from sunny to raining! Oh well, I'll have to wait for spring. Enjoy your nice weather, Susie.
Sorry you are losing your sunshine this week. Tomorrow we get a brief rain then back to sunshine. I know soon we will be saying what winter?? LOL. blessings for a great week. xoxo,SusieDelete
I've always loved cupola's.ReplyDelete
and the weathervane is like the icing a top a cake!
I love cupolas too. We had a wonderful one in town. Ted has mentioned maybe putting in little window panes and a light...I like just as it is. xoxo,SusieDelete
I like how you gave your hubby 2 choices. lol Wise woman. I like the horse! We have cable, but the choice of shows isn't much to my liking. I rarely watch tv anymore, but hubby likes his cable news and sports.ReplyDelete
I had to narrow his choices...because he wanted a golfer. :):) I just thought horse or rooster was more farm like. xoxo,SusieDelete
I love your weather vane...I always wanted one of those. We had a pretty day today, too but I was in a Spring cleaning mood and cleaned all day! I may never get to decorate for Spring if I don't get finished up with the cleaning! lol Sweet hugs!ReplyDelete
The older I get, the less decorations I want to drag out. :) I love to see everyones nice things. I usually change my garden flags and wreaths on the front door. Hope you continue to show us your hiking pics. xoxo,SusieDelete
Ha! Had to laugh at having to 'clarify' for your hubby! Love the one you (both) chose! We're supposed to finally get some warm temps tomorrow :)ReplyDelete
Eweee, could you just see that golfer on the cupola?? No way. So I had to narrow his choices. LOL, xoxo,SusieDelete
Love your cupola and your weather vane! I think everyone is enjoying the warmer weather.ReplyDelete
Judy, this warm weather is making me smile.xoxo,SusieDelete
You really have to be strategic with your questions to get the answer you want. Then, they think they had a choice in the selection.ReplyDelete
It's almost kind of fun to trick them.LOL, xoxo,SusieDelete
Your cupola turned out great! What a handy hubby you have. We had the same 60 degrees today, it was such a treat to not have to be all bundled up after such a long winter!ReplyDelete
There's a show on TV, called the Red Green show...he always says..If you can't be handsome , be handy . My Teddy Bear is both, lucky me.xoxo,SusieDelete
wow! ted is SO clever to make the antenna! and so handy too. love his work. and your blog!!!ReplyDelete
hugs to you!
Bee, This guy is too handy at times. LOL. Stil lmaking those polictical signs...gaaa. The layout for that antenna is on you tube.:):) xoxo,SusieDelete
LOL- my guys would have picked the golfer, too! I am glad you got the horse. That antenna is genius! My dad sold TVs and repaired them and we put up many an antenna. I like that. Have a good day!ReplyDelete
The instructions for that antenna were on you-tube. If a person didn't want cable bills or satilite...it's perfect. You could probably put it in the attic if no metal roof.xo,SusieDelete
I would have chosen a Gibson SG guitar if it was available. Probably not.ReplyDelete
We finally got some nice weather and it's looking better in the near future.
Don't know if he had a guitar weather vane..he had lots of different designs. I stuck with one that fit farm life. xo,SusieDelete
So funny! This made me lol! Sometimes we have to gently prod our men in the right decorating direction!ReplyDelete
Cindy, You know how those hubbies are...give too much rope..They will choose the wrong thing every time. xoxo,SusieDelete
