Old Corner Stone...

Here's the old corner stone from Tipton high school. Well it was Tipton jr./sr. high. We've had a new school for decades now. But I didn't know they had kept the old corner stone from years ago. I went with my sisters to the senior apartments office, that are on the old school grounds....and there sat the old stone. I didn't even know it was in the senior courtyard there. My sister Brenda is looking for an apartment. There are some nice apartments at this place. Not big room by any means, but as we age, we truly need less. Our problems arise from not wanting to rid ourselves of our "stuff". I am as guilty of this as anyone. I can not believe how much "stuff" I had when I moved to this farm. I got rid of tons of "stuff". My daughter's prom dresses, bride's maid dresses, there old games, toys, books, oh my you can just imagine. The important things...such as old grade cards( LOL) , I gave to my daughters to keep or get rid of. I never throw out books...so I always have to find them homes. I recycle things all the time.  Hope all of you are enjoying this pretty day. xoxo

  1. We have so much 'stuff' stored in the loft, I am afraid the bedroom ceilings will come crashing down one day!
Nice to see the old stone there still.

  2. Susie: Neat old cornerstone. I love finding things unexpectedly. Talk about stuff. In remodeling the kitchen ,I have things all over every other room in the Cottage. Can't believe two people can accumulate so much. I SAY when putting it back, I will downsize. One can only hope..Happy Monday..Judy

  4. You mention 'stuff' ... & today I added even more that I probably didn't need but felt better getting it. I would dread moving from here at this point ...

Too many keepsakes! Time to purge!
    Wish me luck!

That old corner stone is pretty cool. Do you thing there could be a time capsule inside?

    Have a great day!
