This is the St. Johns church that was in the background of yesterday's photo. The red house next door to it is the home of the priest. I love this old church. Very beautiful inside. Lightening struck the main tower a few years ago and burned, just the tower, so thankful it was not worse. The St. John's school is to the east of this church. When I lived in town, I was only three blocks from here. So I could hear the school bells and the church bells. On calm days, you could hear the children at recess.
Wishing all of you a blessed Good Friday. xo

DeleteI have always loved the older churches! Some like the more modern ones, but they just don't have the beauty of the older ones! In our little town I grew up in, ours was this same way...just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

My old grade school is a church now...huge following too. But I love my church, the West Street Christian Church, where I was baptized. xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl. I maybe going to my daughter's for lunch. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a beautiful church. Many of the churches in our area today are in industrial parks or abandoned grocery stores. I know the building itself doesn't make a difference to God, but I do love beautiful churches.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter

ReplyDeleteBeautiful church. I love the sound of church bells just as I love the sound of children playing. Blessings to you, sweet Susie. xx
ReplyDeleteWhen I first moved into my home 34 years ago there were two churches that played their bells every day. Now neither of them do. I miss that.
