I think I am going to flower shop today. It seems to truly be Spring now. So I can't wait to plant some thing, anything . :):) Of course this isn't what is outside yet. This is from last Summer in town, at Jean's Plants.
If I do get things for my containers, I will get photos. I love seeing pictures of flowers on everyone's blogs. The color, the choices, the containers themselves. Where people put their containers, such as , the porch, the steps, patios, walkways. It's interesting to me. Plus very inspiring. Wishing all of you a beautiful Saturday. xo
There is nothing like planting flowers-you have fun. Have a blessed Easter my friend, Olive
ReplyDeleteThank you Olive. I know you love flowers very much. Today, I will think about my containers only. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI hope you have a beautiful weekend! The flowers always look so pretty when they are first out at the garden shops. You'll find some nice blooms! Have a blessed weekend my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane. Hope your Easter is beautiful. I love looking for flowers...but making up my mind is another thing. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI can't wait to buy and plant flowers too! I have a few seeds started inside, I hope they make the transfer to outdoors ok. show us what you found!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I wish you luck with the transplants too. I don't know why I never start things inside. It could be so simple, in old egg cartons.xoxo,Susie
DeleteHave a wonderful day flower shopping Susie!
ReplyDeleteBeth, I went to Horton's in town...I took a ton of photos. LOL. Got pansies and violas .xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe still have a month before we can plant here. I did by pansies because they are supposed to be able to stand the cold. I had them under cover but last weeks cold and snow killed even them. booo. Nothing like a trip to the garden centers to brighten your day. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteDebby, Sad about losing your first flowers already...I sure hope I am not jumping ahead too quickly. I just need something pretty to see on the porch. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHave a blessed Easter weekend, Susie. How appropriate to see beautiful life springing up everywhere when we think also of the Resurrection of Christ!
ReplyDeleteHe lives !! My mother loved the dogwood tree and she knew the story. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHopefully the threat of frost or freezing temperatures has passed! My husband has been in the garden this morning with bedding plants we bought last week-end. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteI was hoping some pansies and violas would be tough in the cold...but Debby at Cozy Blanket said hers died in last week's cold. Bummer. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWishing you a blessed Easter. Have fun choosing colorful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers I saw so far are pansies and violas. They are beautiful color combinations. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI only wish I had my mother's green thumb. She could grow anything!
ReplyDeleteI am not a good gardener...just keep trying. I always say , it has to be hardy around me or it'll die. I grow mums and pachysandra, two of the hardiest things I know so far. xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh- I am over a month away from purchasing plants yet....darn it all! I love that you are getting ready to go.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you this Easter- xo Diana
Diana, With your green thumb, you'll be growing things before long. I truly thought about fake flowers for my containers..isn't that sad?? LOL. Happy Easter..xoxo,Susie
DeletePretty! The garden shops are behind here because of the l-o-n-g winter! Soon I'll be seeing flowers like those.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the birthday wishes.
Easter Blessings.
warmly,
deb
