What I Bought...

Here's Angie and I getting ready to go shopping. Angie is my oldest daughter, I forgot to mention that in yesterday's post.  We had a fun time at Kohl's ...trying on shoes.:):) Laughing at some of the odd looking shapes of shoes. No wonder peoples' feet hurt. LOL
We had a great lunch at McAlisters deli.  I had chicken salad on a croissant and apple sauce. Angie got the sweet grilled chicken on a roll with chips. We drank water. I usually always order water, because I don't need the soda and I don't trust  the coffee to be good. LOL The fellow taking our order didn't seem to like that we ordered water, because he remarked "what with the waters?".....what the heck.?
After our lunch we went to T.J. Maxx.  I can always find some cards or journals there. I love having nice stationary around. I write to my sisters a lot. They do not and will not have computers , so we write to each other. My youngest sister Barbie has a computer and really knows how to use them. Of course she had one on her job, I do think that makes a big difference.
Hope you are having sunshine. We are. Oh happy day.  xo

  4. Sounds like a great time with Angie! You both look so good! I haven't been too TJ Maxx in years. Its too far for me to get to now. I could do some damage there. I agree with the shoes! The ones who wear them will be old, crippled up ladies later on. Its not good for your back, either. Its a good day here, too!

    1. Tete, I laughed at my daughter..when we went to T.J.Maxx, she thought the prices were high. For a budget shopper I guess they are...but when I pointed out that it was Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfinger, and Micheal Korrs., Then she got the idea. xoxo,Susie

    1. Oh Wanda, technology is taking many things away. I think if kids text too much, they won't be able to spell even. I love beautiful stationary. I have journals for everything...one for the home and repairs, one for my medical visits, one for cute thing my g.kids have said. xoxo,Susie

  7. No sunshine here and rain is in the forecast! I always order water with a meal when eating out. Why should I pay $2 or more when I would only take a few sips of the drink. Smartalec witer!

    1. Beth, My pretty sun has gone behind the clouds... I like water with my food too. I prefer coffee...but not sure how good it will be , makes me want water. The absolute best coffee I have ever had in my life was at a place called "Beef and Boards" a dinner theater in Indianapolis. Plus you get great coffee on cruises.:):) Oh I could sure use a cruise right now :):) xoxo,Susie

  10. Funny that you two looked at shoes. I bought a pair of "old lady" sandals earlier this week. That is what the 19 yr old sales boy told me!!!!! lol He was very sweet and was just teasing with me. I told him his dark framed eye glasses were reminiscent of what my grandpa wore in the 50's/60's!!! lol
So glad you two had a nice time. Lunch out is always a treat and most often we drink water also.
