Yard Work...

Yesterday never really felt too warm to me. But you can get warm, working in the yard. This is an old picture, of the front flower bed. But this is how it looks even now. The mums are stating to grow. Yesterday, we spent a big part of the day replacing bricks in the flower beds. Ted swept in more sand on the walkways. Looks much better. Today he will till up the little garden in back and I am going to plant wildflowers in it. I will be painting some things, if the wind isn't to strong.
Hope everyone had a good day. I did visit a few blogs. Did not really have the time to make a post or visit all my favorite people out there.  Wishing everyone a sunny day.  xo

  8. We have quite a lot of yard work to do. Hubby mowed for the first time yesterday. Now the rains are beginning, so everything is growing by leaps and bounds especially the grass! I hope we get some garden planted, I bought the seeds and plants yesterday. I also have quite a few flower seeds to plant. Can't wait to see your wildflowers!

    1. Cheryl, I hope I can get them to grow....my thinking is just sow them and water...surely they will grow, being wild and all. LOL. I could not believe how much lawn work we had to do. The winter was very hard on some plants. I think a little tree I have nursed for years is a goner now. xoxo,Susie

  9. I like yard work very much. I remember helping my dad with his vegetable garden. Flowers went by the side of the house. Oh tomato sauce from home grown tomato's. Mm mm!

    1. Paul, That sounds like a good memory. We like salsa made from fresh tomatoes. Hope you are doing well with semi-retirement. xoxo,Susie

  10. That is a really large bed! My mums were there yesterday, too. I think all the cold moved all the bricks around. We have some that just crumbled, too, that will need replaced. When it warms up enough to plant the veggies and flowers, I will rework out brick lines. I need grass seed! Got some dead places. The winter didn't seem to hurt my flowers any, though! Have a good day there!
