Yesterday never really felt too warm to me. But you can get warm, working in the yard. This is an old picture, of the front flower bed. But this is how it looks even now. The mums are stating to grow. Yesterday, we spent a big part of the day replacing bricks in the flower beds. Ted swept in more sand on the walkways. Looks much better. Today he will till up the little garden in back and I am going to plant wildflowers in it. I will be painting some things, if the wind isn't to strong.
Hope everyone had a good day. I did visit a few blogs. Did not really have the time to make a post or visit all my favorite people out there. Wishing everyone a sunny day. xo

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a Wildflower garden.
I can't wait to see yours when it's grown!
I am hoping to get enough flowers to make some bouquets for the house when I want flowers. :) xoxo,Susie
DeleteI also can't wait to see the en result, you are a busy lady , take care!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I'll get some photos and post them. xoxo, Susie
DeleteYard work! Can't wait to do yard work. Well, actually, it's more like I can't wait to have the yard work done. :-)
ReplyDeleteTed and I try our best to do what ever we can. It's always satisfying when it's done. xoxo, Susie
DeleteI feel the same way...it was chilly outside. It's going to be the same way today. I asked my Shug this morning if it was every going to warm up and stay that way!
ReplyDeleteCindy Bee
Cindy, I was already out doing fill in and grass seeding. Sweeping more sand around. Came in to fix lunch....looking at blogs :):) xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, I worked in the yard yesterday too. Still cleaning up after the ice storm, seriously! I feel it today. Still have much to do. Take care. Don't overdo it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a pain we soon appreciate....sore muscles. It means we at least did something. I keep telling myself this. LOL. xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe have sunshine here this morning, though it is a bit chilly! My husband is doing some more planting in the vegetable garden today! Enjoy your time with your gardening! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I am not such a good gardener, but I do try. It's getting nice now. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI had a wildflower bed behind my garage at home. Lovely flowers!
ReplyDeleteBeth, I thought I could make some bouquets when I wanted , with a wildflower garden . :):) xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe have quite a lot of yard work to do. Hubby mowed for the first time yesterday. Now the rains are beginning, so everything is growing by leaps and bounds especially the grass! I hope we get some garden planted, I bought the seeds and plants yesterday. I also have quite a few flower seeds to plant. Can't wait to see your wildflowers!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I hope I can get them to grow....my thinking is just sow them and water...surely they will grow, being wild and all. LOL. I could not believe how much lawn work we had to do. The winter was very hard on some plants. I think a little tree I have nursed for years is a goner now. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI like yard work very much. I remember helping my dad with his vegetable garden. Flowers went by the side of the house. Oh tomato sauce from home grown tomato's. Mm mm!
ReplyDeletePaul, That sounds like a good memory. We like salsa made from fresh tomatoes. Hope you are doing well with semi-retirement. xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat is a really large bed! My mums were there yesterday, too. I think all the cold moved all the bricks around. We have some that just crumbled, too, that will need replaced. When it warms up enough to plant the veggies and flowers, I will rework out brick lines. I need grass seed! Got some dead places. The winter didn't seem to hurt my flowers any, though! Have a good day there!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your garden all blooming! And I can't wait to get out in my own yard and start planting. I am so happy that spring is finally here.
