Snow & Flowers....

This is the ground yesterday morning, you all know what this nasty stuff is called....snow !!

Now this is what I want to see in my yard. Not that white stuff. I want beautiful colors. This is a photo from last year's flower sales , in town.
I almost bought some of these pansies and violas from Horton's last weekend. Oh boy am I glad I didn't. I think they are cold hardy, but yesterday, even I was not cold hardy. I felt cold all day.
Didn't get warm till Ted made a fire in the fireplace after dinner.
Hope all of you are feeling good to start this new day.  Hope your snow is melting and the sun is shining.  The sun is out here and it looks to be a pretty day here.  xo

    1. Sylvia, 34 does not sound warm for Georgia. Hope you get a warm up. I hope we do too. xoxo,Susie

  3. We're in the midst of a snow storm even as I write. But at least I know we're trending toward spring...little by little. Snow storm by snow storm. Your photo reminds me to buy zinnias this year. They're among my favorite and are so cheery and colorful all summer and fall!

    1. I didn't feel like our snow would last...but now I am wondering about some of those up north, like Wis. and Minn. I love the many colors of zinnias. They are hardy also. xoxo,Susie

  4. I hope that snow is a thing of the past Susie! High here in the mid 50s today. I have been thinking about when I lived in east central IL and wondering how far it is from where you live.

    1. Beth, I think we are about 250 miles apart. I looked on a map once. So we do get similar weather. Hope you are having the warm sun...it's so pretty here right now. xoxo,Susie

  5. We only had "spitting" snow for a short time yesterday morning, but a freeze warning overnight led to a bit of worry over the garden and the things that are blooming here. It appears there was no damage as there was some cloud cover along with some wind overnight. Sunshine today! Have a good one! xo Nellie

    1. Nellie, I am glad things didn't freeze there. We were lucky also...I don't think we were to have a freeze...and the wind has been blowing. Now the sun is shining and I am loving it. :):) xoxo,Susie

  6. Oh I feel for you! That snow should be long gone by this time of year. We had a terribly cold and windy day yesterday too. Woke up to cold weather and had to wear a heavy coat. Hope it doesn't kill all of our pretty flowers blooming everywhere.

  7. Good Morning Susie, The weather has been crazy with all of the ups and downs. My beautiful Magnolia tree froze and now it is brown. I am glad that I haven't bought any flowers that I have been temped to do. The pansies are so pretty. Have a wonderful Easter. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  8. I bought some purple tulips and a purple hyacinth for the husband (and me) for the inside of the house....sometimes you just have to bring spring inside till the snow goes away.

    1. Now that is a clever way to enjoy Spring. If they are potted plants you could transplant them when it gets warmer. Hope you snow goes soon. Today, there is no snow left here...but it is still chilly. xoxo,Susie

    1. Kay, I was a bit shock about the snow, as we had a weekend of high 70's. Today was warmer but not much...the wind makes it super chilly. Hoping we have seen the last of this winter weather. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
