While I was in town on Thursday, I went to the junk store. This is a pricy little whiskey bottle. The Lady said she'd work with me on prices. I just didn't think she'd come too far from the $50.00 price.
I liked the foo dogs. One is clamed up and one is talking. :):) I did not even look for markings.
Lots of old cooking pans. Cast iron skillets, a baking pan with fish shapes, an old toaster.
This is the one thing I could not resist, the white pitcher. I put some fake forsythia in it. I can almost hear my mom saying.."you didn't need that any more than the man in the moon !!" Oh yes , I did mommy ! :):) I can use it for plenty of things, right now it's a vase. It was only 6 dollars. xo
I love it too! That woudl be something I would buy too!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this pitcher will be very handy. Hope you are having a great day. xoxo,Susie
DeleteIsn't it amazing at all the different things people find to sell? Love the pitcher. Hope you are having a good day there. Looks ok here so far, but I have no idea when the rain and snow are coming.
ReplyDeleteTete..shhh not snow. So hard to believe when it was in the 70's here today and yesterday. I am not going to shovel.:):) xo,Susie

DeleteWe only go around once in life and I say that you needed the pitcher. It looks lovely with the forsythia in it.
ReplyDeleteBeth, I think I'll use that pitcher plenty of times. xoxo,Susie
DeleteBetter a $6 pitcher than a $50 whiskey bottle...lol Great items there though. I wouldn't pay anywhere near $50 for that either- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I would have paid 50 dollars for it full.xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love the white pitcher you bought...you needed that! And it's fun to walk around and look in a place like that. I think the most shocking prices are the old bottles! lol Enjoy your day my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like that bottle with the man head shaped into it...but wowwee 50 dollars! xoxo,Susie
DeleteGood for you!!! You would always regret NOT buying it!! The flowers look so REAL!!! Best thing ever!

DeleteHi Susie ~ I have that same white pitcher and I use it mainly for a vase. It's lovely and I like the splash of yellow for spring.
ReplyDeleteI know I made the right choice, Wanda. I think I could use it all the time, every season. Xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh Susie......did we have the same Mom? LOL I can hear my Mom telling me that too.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason Ann, that make me feel good to know others had a mom like mine. My mom was tough but loving. Hope you had a good weekend. xox,Susie
DeleteI never turn down a white pitcher that is less than $10!
ReplyDeleteI have often thought, if I had known when I was young, I would only buy white dishes....then just mix up the linens. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI need less than nothing, but every once in awhile I can't resist browsing the china shelves at the Salvation Army. Found the prettiest tray a few weeks ago and I am so enjoying it. Your pitcher is lovely.
ReplyDeleteCarol, Funny how we love to look and find something just right. I need to sort some of my dishes, really. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love that white pitcher and anytime you get tired of it, you can just pass it on to me. $6 was a great price.
