Monday Morning.....

Oh getting out of bed was painful.  After yesterday's marathon yard clean up, doing laundry , and squeegeeing the basement floor, I didn't really want to get out of bed. My arms feel 4feet long. LOL.  It is a satisfying pain of sorts.  I know now that all I have to do it get my flowers into their containers and some  in the ground. The lawn is greening up nicely what with all the rain , and the sunshine this past weekend.
I am hoping our friends up north soon see their lawns. They are still covered in snow. That would be too much for me. As I have said many times, I would not have been a good pioneer.:):) xo

    1. I am thinking of moving a rose bush that is getting over taken by a plum bush....not getting enough sun on it. I am ready for some pretty colors. xoxo,Susie

  2. Wow, you were so ambitious yesterday! And now you can enjoy the satisfaction of a nicer looking yard. I hate to think of what ours will look like after the snow melts. :-(

  4. Oh, I so know that pain! But things are done and you can rest up today. I couldn't live in the north, either. Hope you loosen up as the day goes on. Rain on its way, though. I am getting tight already. ;)

  5. Rest a bit, Susie. No, the pioneers were of hardier stock than I believe I am. Of course, their life expectancy was not as great, either. Too much stress on the body. Spring is time to take care of those flowers! xo Nellie

  14. if I had been a pioneer we would not have lasted very long. Being born and bred a city girl I think all the snow last winter would have sent me to the crazy house. I'm so glad I live in a place where there is one season...rain! haha, we get our sunny days and enjoy them even more since they are few and far between. Glad you were able to get out and get some yard work done this weekend. We've got a long ways to go to catch up!

As one of your Up North friends I can report we can not see any ground yet.
But the road is bare now, so that's a step forward.
