Waiting For The Real Spring....

Waiting for the trees to be pretty. For the Lilacs to bloom.....waiting, waiting, waiting. :):)
It suppose to be a pretty day today...but oh it's taking it's sweet time. I am looking forward to our redbud and crabapple trees  blooming and this lilac bush , that I got from my mother's old place. Remember last year was the first the lilacs had bloomed since I planted them.
Day before yesterday , we had a small flash flood...but it was enough for me. The basement is dry and cleaned up .  Now I am praying our weather will cooperate and start becoming nice enough to do some yard work. Oh it's not that I want to tackle everything at once. But absolutely need to clean out two or my flowerbeds. Starting to look sad around here. LOL.
Well chores are waiting for me. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  xo

  9. Glad the flood is behind you now. Whew! All the things you mentioned are in full bloom here, BUT the weather has taken a temperature dip this weekend and it's made us all grouchy. We get spoiled easily. ;-)

    1. Oh dear girl, you don't know how glad I am that it sunny today. Since the 1st flood we had out here, that was the frozen grounds of Feb with 4 inches of rain,I have been edgy in heavy rains thru the frozen ground seasons. It's still very chilly, Hugs, Susie

    1. Diana, Ted and I cut the old dead back from the flowers and I raked lots of the front yard..not the whole darn thing, mind you, just part of it. I started with two jackets on an ended up in my shirt sleeves. Now this is what I am waiting for. :):) Then we got a iced tea and sat on the porch. I hope you get to do this soon. xoxo,Susie
